About the Job
Our client, a school bus sales company, has an opening for a Sales Manager to join their team due to a promotion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales and Strategy Leadership
- Manages sales activities for top accounts, develops pricing strategies, and collaborates with the General Manager on sales and leasing strategies to enhance market share and revenue growth.
- Employee Development and Team Management
- Leads personnel development, fosters employee growth, and ensures team alignment with company standards, including continuous improvement initiatives.
- Operational Oversight
- Oversees the use of CRM and inventory systems for accurate data tracking and reporting; directs resources to achieve efficient results and meet strategic goals.
- Performance Analysis and Financial Management
- Assists in forecasting revenue trends, managing budgets, analyzing P&L reports, and providing monthly productivity assessments to improve profitability.
- Customer Engagement and Education
- Builds strong relationships with key decision-makers, coordinates training programs to boost sales effectiveness, and reviews RFPs to strategize competitive business opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Strong Sales Experience: Ideal candidate will have 10+ years in sales, specifically in large transportation (busses, RV, trucks, etc.) Someone from a car dealership will not be the right fit.
- Team Management: 5+ years of managing a sales team.
- Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills
- Proficient in written and verbal communication, with the ability to navigate multigenerational workforce dynamics.
- Technical Proficiency
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software applications.
- Dependability and Adaptability
- Maintains a valid driver's license with a clean record, demonstrates stress tolerance, and exhibits flexibility under pressure.
