Our Indianapolis-based client, Frontier Paper and Packaging, known for their product excellence and innovative packaging solutions, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager to lead and grow their sales team. The Sales Manager will oversee strategy development, team leadership, and customer relationship management, driving the company’s growth in new and existing markets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and Manage Sales Team: Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a team of sales representatives to achieve and exceed sales goals.
Develop Sales Strategy: Build out sales strategies, processes, and procedures from scratch to optimize team performance and align with company objectives.
Generate New Business: Oversee lead generation efforts, trade shows, and other strategic avenues to secure new customers.
Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate long-term relationships with key clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
Product Expertise: Gain an in-depth understanding of all company products and how they align with customer needs.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the purchasing team and other internal departments to ensure seamless customer experiences.
CRM Utilization: Lead the team in effective use of CRM systems to manage customer updates, interactions, and pipeline statuses.
Reporting and Analytics: Provide regular sales updates, forecasts, and performance metrics to company leadership, making data-driven decisions to guide the team.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Minimum of 3 years of experience leading a sales team, with proven success in building strategies, processes, and procedures from the ground up.
Experience with CRM systems (Apollo.io preferred, but experience with other platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot is acceptable).
Demonstrated ability to develop new business relationships and drive sales growth.
Proven track record of successfully mentoring and developing sales teams.
Strong understanding of the packaging industry (experience with corrugate, plastic films, temperature-sensitive packaging, or similar products is a plus).
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and innovate to meet business goals.
