Get ready to step into a pivotal role that is integral to the success of our dynamic organization! We are currently seeking a seasoned Sales Manager for Control Valves to join our Sales team. This role requires you to be a self-starter, motivated, and passionate about sales and customer service. You will be responsible for managing and developing our sales for the NY, Northern NJ, and New England MA territory. This role requires travel 3 days a week so we are looking for someone local to the territory areas.
Responsibilities:
As our Sales Manager, you will be tasked with the following responsibilities:
1. Drive the sales of our control valves and ancillary steam systems within your assigned territory.
2. Develop and implement strategic B2B sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
3. Review market analyses to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules, and discount rates.
4. Coordinate sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals.
5. Manage and maintain key customer relationships and implement strategies for expanding the company’s customer base.
6. Coordinate liaison between sales department and other sales-related units.
7. Analyze and control expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Sales Manager role will possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in outside sales, specifically within the industrial manufacturer sector.
2. Proven experience with steam systems, control valves, and ancillary steam systems.
3. Strong B2B sales and account management skills.
4. Experience in territory sales and territory management.
5. The ability to travel extensively to manage sales territories.
6. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
7. Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
