*This role has hybrid flexibility but must be based in the Michigan (lower peninsula) area and willing to travel.
Responsibilities:
- Strategically develop, validate, and refine business plans and products to secure a competitive edge.
- Collaborate closely with Account Managers to secure both replacement and new business, aiming for substantial revenue growth.
- Forge and nurture relationships with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers, becoming a trusted partner for business expansion.
- Keep a pulse on market trends, regulatory changes, competitive landscapes, and growth estimates to stay ahead of the curve.
- Expand and deepen relationships with key Tier 1 and OEM customers, focusing on profitable growth.
- Lead the creation and presentation of RFQs, business reviews, strategic plans, and pricing strategies, ensuring alignment with internal teams and management.
- Engage in customer negotiations, presenting quotations and finalizing pricing to win business.
- Provide crucial insights to the product engineering team, ensuring product development aligns with market opportunities.
- Serve as a vital link between sales and other departments, fostering a collaborative environment for cross-functional projects.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of business development/sales experience in the automotive manufacturing industry
- Previous engagement with manufacturing teams and a solid understanding of the OEM landscape.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging with customers and internal stakeholders at all levels.
- Advanced presentation skills, with the ability to become a product expert across various domains.
- Willingness to travel 1-3 times a month as needed to meet business goals
