Sales Estimator- Division 10 - Aligned Solutions

Job Purpose:

The Salesperson cultivates customer relationships and manages and administers the relationship between the company and its customers. Coordinates between detailing and project management of projects after awards. This position contributes by maintaining the integrity of the company’s relationships with its customers, meeting or exceeding the customer service standards of the company, meeting or exceeding the sales strategies of the company, and more.

Duties:

-Serve the customer and the business of the company from “cradle to grave.”

-Cultivate customers that meet the characteristics of “ideal customers” of the company.

-Coordinates with detailing and project management after award of project.

- Receives and uploads Invitations to Bid

- Logs ITBs into company computer system (Comsense)

- Updates Bid Status throughout process (until awarded) in Comsense

- Ensures all documents, downloaded or scanned into estimate file

- Reviews specifications and drawings (plans)

- Estimates (prepares take offs) all projects assigned

- Sends RFI’s to customer for any additional information or clarifications required

- Requests quotes from manufacturers in preparation of the bids

- Prepare bid with notes, qualifications and accurate description of scope of work

- Makes all revisions necessary

- Meet with the detailer and project manager to understand the performance requirements, including the clarification of SOV and phasing of delivery

- Reviews the approved bids accepted by the customers, including specifications and drawings (plans) and SOW

- Prepares detailed door & hardware schedules and coordinates opening requirements as provided in plans & specs (as may be modified)

- Ensure that there is a current and updated manufacturer quote for all material selected for project, or request new quotes

- Prior to selling project in Comsense, obtains approval from project manager for SOV and phasing

- Assists project manager with change orders or plan revisions

- Maintain well-documented project records in company computer system

- Stays current on codes and material requirements

- Coordinate SOV and contracting requirements

- Manage customers' expectations on all projects based upon lead times and construction schedule requirements

Skills/Qualifications:

- 5+ years industry experience as salesperson or similar position

- DHIA, DHT, DHC or AHC Certifications desirable

- Experience with estimating, detailing and project management

- Knowledge about the products and services sold by the company (e.g., doors, hardware and specialties)

- Knowledge of all codes affecting the delivery of doors, hardware and specialties

- Knowledge of computer programs, e.g., Word, Excel and Comsense
