Gibson Mobile Concrete, LLC is seeking highly motivated and energetic people to join our team. We are currently looking to fill the position of Concrete Sales Estimator for our construction company specializing in small, custom mix designs, our wide range of equipment allows us to service any project big or small.
The Concrete Sales Estimator will be responsible for the overall concrete sales of Gibson Mobile Concrete, LLC as well as providing costing, schedule analysis, and written proposals to clients. This position is responsible for various aspects related to client and project management along with other daily tasks required to successfully finish projects.
Founded in 2015, Gibson Mobile Concrete, LLC is a new and thriving company that was created by Gibson & Associates, Inc. who was founded in 1985 and began it's story in the growing town of Balch Springs, Texas. Gibson Mobile Concrete, LLC provides high quality, standard and custom concrete mixes to the DFW and surrounding areas. Our state of the art volumetric concrete mixers not only allow us to deliver your custom order, but also mix it onsite saving customers time and money by only paying for what they actually use.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Build long-term relationships with potential general contractors while maintaining relationships with existing account holders.
• Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from business directories, industry ads, trade shows, websites, and other sources.
• Search for public work to bid utilizing DOT websites and other databases for possible work and maintain Daily Log of communications and sales.
• Quote jobs, prepare proposals.
• Provide mix designs for potential customers, assist with the calibration and break history for mix designs and sell volumetric-mix concrete by the cubic yard.
• Estimate materials, volumetric techs, and out of town expenses, review and understand concrete applications, drawings, and specifications.
• Dispatching: maintain and develop delivery routes using Corrigo, collaborate with management to modify daily routes to accommodate the needs of customers, and monitor any sudden route changes or road construction issues and work with drivers to establish new routes and coordinate/communicate sales with dispatch
• Maintain bidding and sales records which includes work order and invoice processing, collect on outstanding account balances.
• Occasionally run a forklift and front-end loader (training available)
• Provides technical assistance, interpretation of drawings and documents, quality control and serves as the onsite liaison for the company.
• Assists in the supervision and coordination with the Foreman on assigned project to ensure that proper resources (labor, equipment, material) are in place for the timely completion of work.
• Reports to Operations Manager daily regarding the status of the project and upcoming activities.
• Coordinates schedule with subcontractors and ensures that all work conforms to the contract requirements.
• Assists in resolving construction problems and/or delays as required.
• Promotes and complies with all company safety policies and procedures.
• Reviews all contracts, specifications, plans, and project documents to ensure that the work is built to the appropriate standards and to satisfaction of the Owner.
• Communicates with the Owner's representatives and/or inspector to discuss project related matters.
• Performs other related administrative tasks and duties as assigned by Operations Manager.
Requirements:
• Must hold a valid government issued Driver's License (CDL preferred but not required)
• A minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Familiarity with equipment, materials, and methods used in the construction industry.
• Must be familiar with Concrete Sales.
• Ability to communicate with others to convey information effectively.
• Ability to read and understand project specific documents including construction plans, specifications, material data sheets, safety data sheets, and other pertinent project information.
• Ability to keep organized records and to prepare work and time reports.
• Ability to understand and efficiently carry out instructions.
• Ability to work well under pressure and within established timelines.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and allocate resources as needed.
• Ability to work with management to resolve and issues that arise on a project.
• Must be knowledgeable of safety procedures and practices.
• Must be accustomed to working outdoors with exposure to all weather conditions.
• Must be able to perform physical activities that may require climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and bending with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must wear appropriate safety equipment as required by the company.
• Must be willing and able to travel and work out of town on various jobsites.
• Able to operate a computer and other office machines with working knowledge of Microsoft Office with a proficiency in Word and Excel.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen, physical, and E-Verify.
• High school diploma/GED required.
