Sales Engineer - Los Angeles, CA
The Sales Engineer will work closely with the Regional Sales Managers to evaluate customer technical requirements, execute compelling technical demonstrations, assist with preparation of proposals, system deployments and integration, providing on-site troubleshooting.
Primary responsibilities and functions include:
- Will prepare proposals, SOW's showing new system deployments and integrations with current systems.
- Plan and manage proof of concepts.
- Provide on-site troubleshooting during rollout phase.
- Specify system architectures, delivering solution demonstrations, managing system implementation and deployment, and providing exceptional customer service.
Required Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:
- Minimum of three years' experience working (with one of the following) the MVPD/vMVPD, OTT distribution, Cloud architecture, broadcast industry, either working at broadcasters or selling to broadcasters
- Familiar with digital video technology
- Experience with digital video and audio, video servers, compression technology and infrastructure requirements
- Ability to trouble-shoot IP network, audio, and video problems
- Demonstrated ability to communicate technology, product, and application expertise to account sales team, prospects, and customers.
- Ability to assess a customer's technical needs and match it to Telestream products.
- Previous technical experience including knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server administration and IP networking technology.
- Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be comfortable working remotely out of home office.
- A willingness to travel (up to 30%)
- Ability to work effectively with resellers and sales staff.
