Sales Engineer - Impact Business Group

About the Job
Summary: Our client, a leading manufacturer in aerospace, automotive, and medical industries, is seeking a Sales Engineer to join their team. This role is pivotal in driving sales revenue, maintaining customer relationships, and planning and implementing marketing and product development programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background coupled with sales and marketing expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Work hands-on in a manufacturing environment
- Utilize experience with mechanical power transmission (e.g., universal joints, pulleys, motors, pumps)
- Develop a deep understanding of industry applications
- Serve as a liaison between sales, engineering, and planning departments
- Create RFQs and quotes while managing multiple projects
- Conduct contract reviews and assist with new product development
- Develop and implement strategic marketing and sales plans
- Evaluate market research and adjust strategies as needed
- Monitor competitor products and activities
- Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and strategic partners
- Represent the company at trade association meetings
- Assist sales representatives in maintaining relationships and closing deals
- Direct sales forecasting activities and set performance goals
- Prepare periodic sales reports
- Review and analyze sales performances against plans
- Assist with product research and development
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience); Master's Degree preferred
- Dual degrees in engineering and marketing or business administration are ideal
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles (manufacturing, mechanical, or industrial)
- Knowledge of customer service principles
- Proficiency in data analysis (Access/SQL or similar)
- Minimum of 2 years of sales experience
- Minimum of 1 year of mechanical engineering experience
- Willingness to travel up to 25%

Contract positions
Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment.
