Sales Engineer - Remote in Georgia only (U.S.) - Selectek, Inc.

Selectek is seeking a Sales Engineer who will learn the industry and business objectives to have a clear understanding of the products represented and the ability to demonstrate how they work in the customers application. The responsibilities will include establishing the needs of the customer and recommending and quoting products and solutions.

Required: 

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably Mechanical or Electrical, or other technical field, with a knack for controls and fluid dynamics.
• A minimum of 2 years of sales or marketing experience coupled with a minimum of 3 years technical application experience as an operating or project engineer.
• Technical knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of industrial process application.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• The ability to identify and follow up on leads.
• Knowledge of sales promotion techniques.
• Excellent presentation skills and a professional appearance.
• A valid driver’s license and a willingness to travel throughout Georgia, with some travel into the surrounding states.
• A self-starter, with the ability to work out of a home office, and a suitable home space from which to work undistracted.
• The ability and willingness to carry and use tools and technical instrumentation to assist customers and diagnose problems when needed.
• Willingness to travel to the home office in Greenville, SC on a regular basis for initial training and subsequent interaction with the sales, engineering and service teams.

Preferred: 

• Previous experience in Technical Sales 
• Previous sales engineering experience 
• Experience in the combustion equipment or related industries

Job order details: 

• Establishing the technical needs of the customer and suggesting appropriate products, and engineered solutions.
• Explaining complex technical information to customers in a way that is easily understandable.
• Working with our team of inside sales, project managers, and service technicians to provide customer service and support.
• Compiling proposals and reports related to technical products.
• Ensuring that sales targets are consistently met.
• Reporting to management about sales activity and strategy.
• Updating records of customer communications and contact information.

Pay range:  $36/hour - $60/hour ($75,000 - $125,000 annual salary) 
Term of assignment: 6 months contract to hire

Location of job:  Anywhere in GA based remote, will report to Greenville SC 29607 office; prefers someone in Macon or Middle GA.  
Hours and shift: Monday - Friday 8AM – 5PM

Travel: Yes, Travel around GA and surrounding states to visit clients and prospects.  60% Travel initially, then 30-40%
