Summary/Objective
Responsible for growth and support of the company's sales goals through professional sales techniques and good customer service, maintaining quality relations with existing accounts, cold calling, and providing sales coverage for assign accounts in Connecticut and Rhode Island.
Essential Functions
In-person sales & in-house coverage of assigned accounts requiring the use of a personal vehicle (car allowance & mileage). Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develops maximum sales potential out of assigned territory through competitive sales techniques and knowledge of the company's products and services as well as the competition's strengths/weaknesses.
- Extensive knowledge of pump equipment, flow instrumentation and industrial products.
- Builds and maintains quality relations with existing assigned accounts and grows account base and volume of sales on a consistent basis.
- Contacts customers via telephone, correspondence, or in person by traveling as frequently as necessary to meet and surpass profitable sales goals for the company. Some overnight travel may be required.
- Creates customized proposals to meet specific customer requirements in an efficient manner.
- Manages profit margins within company guidelines.
- Manages specific Product lines and Vendor relationships, Grundfos and Xylem initially.
- Support growth of product portfolio by recruiting new Vendors to the business.
- Receives and resolves customer requests in a timely manner.
- Utilizes company leads to expand current customer base and follows up all leads promptly.
- Maintains updated, organized files on all accounts in assigned territory.
- Completes and submits sales reports daily on account activity, provides monthly documentation with outstanding proposals, proposals secured, and proposals lost.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
