Job Description
As a Sales Engineer, you will execute the sales strategy within an assigned region to drive revenue growth, in a position based in our Elgin, IL office. This role will require a good working knowledge of Rubber Molded and Extruded Products. We expect you to represent the company in all sales-oriented activities. This includes working with existing OEM customers on new product development and product improvement. In addition, the Sales Engineer is responsible for growing our customer base at client.
The ideal candidate will be able to appropriately identify the needs of both new and current customers in order to aid customers in their success using our products.

Job Description
As a Sales Engineer, you will execute the sales strategy within an assigned region to drive revenue growth, in a position based in our Elgin, IL office. Responsibilities
- Develop new prospects and interact with existing customers to increase sales of products and services
- Develop relationships with key accounts and foster additional growth opportunities
- Develop, qualify, and drive leads through the sales pipeline
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
- Coordinate with key account managers, engineers, and various divisions as required
- Assist in developing and implementing marketing plans
- Apply basic engineering knowledge to aid in developing applications
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned
- Travel to prospects and customers for this position is 30-50%
Skills/Qualifications
- Proven track record of driving sales growth
- Strong written and verbal communication, negotiating, and selling skills
- Ability to provide uncompromised customer service
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in computer skills: Microsoft Office, CRM
- Familiarity with basic engineering and manufacturing principles
- Positive attitude and professional demeanor
- Self-starter and self-motivated
- Technical skills, such as blueprint reading, preferred
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical field
- 2+ years of experience in industrial sales and/or customer service with OEMs
- 2+ years of experience in the engineering/manufacturing industry, preferred
- Experience with technical business processes such as RFQ, PPAP, ECR
- Knowledge of JIT, logistics, and supply chain fundamentals
- Fundamental knowledge of rubber manufacturing, preferred
