Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Engineer to support our sales team in introducing and selling our advanced lapping equipment to customers across various industries. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of technical sales, the lapping process, and the ability to translate complex engineering solutions into clear and compelling benefits for customers. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, sales acumen, and strong interpersonal skills to develop new business and maintain long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
• Sales & Business Development:
Identify and prospect new customers and markets for lapping equipment and solutions.
Build and maintain relationships with existing clients, offering product support and enhancing customer satisfaction. (Candidate with existing customer portfolio is a differential for this position)
Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to educate potential customers on the benefits and capabilities of lapping equipment.
Provide tailored solutions based on customer requirements and specifications.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions of sales contracts.
Achieve sales targets and contribute to overall business growth.
Technical Expertise & Consultation:
Work closely with customers to understand their needs and challenges, providing tailored lapping solutions.
Coordinate with the engineering team to provide custom solutions for complex customer needs.
Market Analysis & Reporting:
Monitor market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities to adapt sales strategies.
Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and performance metrics to management.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest advancements in lapping technology and surface finishing processes.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent experience – Desired by not required.
Experience:
Proven experience in technical sales, preferably in the manufacturing, machinery, or equipment industry.
Experience selling precision equipment, especially related to lapping, polishing, or similar processes, is highly preferred.
Skills:
Strong technical understanding of lapping and surface finishing processes.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical clients.
Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in CRM software, MS Office, and sales analytics tools.
Travel: Willingness to travel as required to meet clients, attend industry events, and oversee installations.

Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
Work Environment:
This role will involve both office-based work and occasional on-site support at customer facilities.
Hands-on work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to precision machinery, abrasives, and slurries
