The role of the Sales Enablement Manager (Government) :
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Enablement Manager (Government) to spearhead our efforts in equipping our teams working with government agencies with the tools and resources they need to enhance their partnership-building processes, improve success rates in RFPs, and decrease the time to close deals at federal, state, and local levels. This role is pivotal in bridging marketing and our business development team, focusing on creating impactful tools and content, refining marketing strategies, and implementing other initiatives to enable our team to secure government partnerships more effectively and efficiently.
This role does not own direct sales management or demand generation. This role is 30% leading the strategy for sales enablement and 70% execution, with support from other teammates on Marketing and Sales
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Enablement and Content Strategy:
- Develop and execute a robust sales enablement strategy, focusing on tools, decreasing drop-off points, and building valuable content to support the sales process.
- Craft high-quality, persuasive sales materials such as presentations, brochures, product data sheets, and FAQs to enhance product understanding and customer engagement.
- Creative Content Writing: Draft compelling content that communicates our value proposition and resonates with our target audience, leveraging tools like AI to enhance efficiency and creativity.
Client Engagement and Conversion:
- Analyze current processes and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement, and propose targeted changes to enhance conversion rates.
- Actively listen in on demo calls and audit customer journeys to identify areas for improvement, ensuring a seamless experience for potential clients.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of sales enablement tools and strategies, and adjust
Independent Strategy and Alignment
- Partner with business development representatives to understand their requests and proactively address needs, ensuring alignment on goals and strategies.
- Participate in strategy meetings to provide marketing insights that can support sales objectives.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to gather insights, using this feedback to continuously refine and improve marketing materials and strategies.
Product Marketing Collaboration:
- Work closely with the product marketing and the product team to ensure sales teams are equipped with up-to-date product information and competitive insights.
- Translate complex product features into clear, compelling value propositions tailored for sales conversations.
Market Research And Insights
- Conduct thorough market research to stay informed about industry trends and competitive landscapes, using insights to refine content and marketing strategies.
- Analyze performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of content and campaigns, using data to inform ongoing improvements and adjustments.
You'll excel at this role if you have:
- At least 5 years of experience in a sales enablement or related marketing role, majority in B2G marketing and sales roles.
- Strong expertise in creating impactful sales content, design and marketing collateral.
- Expertise with B2G marketing and sales processes and the challenges faced by government entities.
- Strong project management skills that allow you to juggle multiple projects at once without breaking a sweat
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must! You enjoy building relationships and can clearly articulate complex ideas and make them easy to understand.
- You have a scrappy, creative mindset that relishes tackling challenges head-on. You're not afraid to think outside the box and come up with innovative solutions.
