Corsair Creative powers the Sales & Experience Divisions for all Pirate Ventures’ venues and is widely recognized as a leading provider of innovative and cutting-edge event planning and venue management services in the DMV.

We are seeking a needle in a haystack for a once in a lifetime opportunity for the right sales management professional. The Sales Director role sits atop a dynamic and dedicated sales organization with unlimited potential backed by top notch marketing and operations team. The Sales Director is a key player with highly impactful responsibilities helping to take Corsair Creative to the next level. The right candidate moves mountains, sets the tone, and takes no prisoners.
What you'll do
Sales Strategy: It all starts with planning and a solid sales strategy. The right candidate will use prior experience and knowledge of the industry to build out a comprehensive sale strategy that exceeds revenue targets and growth objectives based on your ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop plans to capitalize on them.
Leadership: You are a born leader with a proven track record of motivating individuals and teams to sell. Leadership is a top priority for Corsair Creative and candidates who cannot demonstrate their ability here need not apply. You will lead from the front, mentor where needed, provide guidance as necessary and, in all ways, support, and train your team to enhance their performance and productivity.
Client Management: Corsair Clients love us! Referrals are our bread and butter. The ideal candidate understands the power of relationships and brings them to the next level. This means you understand solution selling, anticipate client needs, and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.

Sales Analysis: Data drives success. The ideal candidate has a head for numbers and understands how to translate them into sales success. You will communicate this data regularly to senior management and others on the team so that they can plan, monitor, and execute accordingly.
Market Research: You are smart about the events industry and strive to be smarter every day. Events are in your blood and, as a professional, you take demonstrable steps stay informed about industry trends, competitive activities, and market developments. This includes conducting market research and analysis to identify emerging opportunities to stay ahead of industry shifts.
Budget Management: Every sales professional’s obligation. The budget ensures adequate resource allocation, tracking of ROI, and other strategically important initiatives. It is your responsibility to manage the budget and make updates as necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field.
- Worked in the catering, events or venue management field for 3 plus years in MGMT.
- Proven experience in sales leadership roles within the event planning and venue management industry or related field.
- Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
- Proficiency in sales management software and CRM systems.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
