Position Summary: National Secure Transportation (NST) is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Director of Sales to lead our sales efforts and drive revenue growth. This role will oversee the sales strategy, manage a sales manager and team of account executives, and work closely with leadership to achieve ambitious sales goals. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in B2B sales, leadership experience, and a deep understanding of the secure transportation or logistics industry.
Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership and Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and inspire the sales team, including Sales Managers and Regional Account Managers, to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Foster a high-performance, results-driven sales culture.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and implement improvement plans to optimize team success.
Sales Strategy and Revenue Growth
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to meet company objectives and expand market share.
- Drive revenue growth across all service lines, including cash-in-transit, cash vaulting, ATMs, and cashless payment systems.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and revenue streams in key markets.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
- Act as a trusted advisor, ensuring tailored solutions meet client needs.
- Lead high-value contract negotiations and close deals that align with company goals.
- Collaborate with Director of Marketing and Customer Engagement on revenue generating activities and SalesForce Optimization
Market Expansion and Competitive Pricing
- Conduct market analysis to identify new opportunities and refine pricing strategies.
- Collaborate with operations to profitably expand into new and existing markets.
- Design and implement strategies to establish the company as a leader in emerging markets.
Sales Process Optimization
- Streamline and oversee sales processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Optimize our SalesForce CRM with dashboard development, pipeline management, data and integration integrity and pipeline optimization.
- Leverage data insights to optimize sales strategies and decision-making.
Business Development
- Cultivate and expand partnerships with financial institutions, vendors, and government agencies.
- Develop strategies to grow mid-market and enterprise accounts in alignment with organizational goals.
Reporting and Analysis
- Provide detailed sales performance reports, market insights, and competitive analyses to the executive team.
- Use data to inform strategic decisions and track progress toward sales objectives.
Collaboration with Other Departments
- Partner with Operations, Accounting, and Marketing teams to align sales efforts with company priorities.
- Work with Marketing and PR to execute campaigns and enhance brand visibility through social media and other channels.
Knowledge & Experience:
- Sales Expertise:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in B2B sales, ideally in cash management or third-party logistics (3PL) services.
- At least 5 years in a senior sales leadership role, with a proven record of driving revenue growth and team performance.
- Deep understanding of sales processes, methodologies, and best practices.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Salesforce, including creating dashboards, managing integrations, and running reports.
- Strong knowledge of spreadsheet tools like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Market Knowledge:
- Expertise in market analysis, competitive pricing, and strategies for profitable expansion.
- Soft Skills:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for team leadership and client engagement.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships quickly and effectively in person, by phone, or via video meetings.
- Confident, professional, and presentable in all interactions.
