We’re seeking a pioneer Sales Director to be the driving force behind Automat-it’s bold entry into the US market. As our first team member on the ground, you’ll be in charge of building our sales and business development activities from the ground up. You’ll craft and execute a complete sales infrastructure, paving the way for success in this dynamic new territory. As the business grows, you’ll also have the exciting opportunity to recruit and mentor a top-performing local sales team, shaping the future of Automat-it in the US.
Work location - hybrid from NYC, New York, USA
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute successful targeted territory development plans to help achieve or exceed growth and revenue
- Leading and actively engaging in all stages of the business development cycle, including proposal negotiations, crafting statements of work, and finalizing contract details.
- Prospect new customers, identify upsell, cross-sell, and renewal opportunities, and communicate with the AWS reps regularly
- Demonstrates breadth and depth of knowledge in aligning Automat-it capabilities to client business and positioning relative to competitors
- Serve as the escalation point for all matters related to client concerns, deals, and needs
- Build and maintain long-lasting and strengthened client relationships to achieve long-term partnerships
- Maintain and develop strategic vendor relations with AWS
- Represent Automat-it at trade shows and conferences, educating potential clients on our unique value and benefits.
- Work collaboratively with global Marketing, Operations, Delivery, and Solutions Architects teams
- Recruit, lead, and scale a high-performing local sales and business development team.
- Manage and mentor a team of local Cloud Sales experts, driving them to meet KPIs while maintaining top-quality operations and performance
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in leading direct Cloud sales, business development, and accounts executives with a proven, successful track record of generating revenue and closing business
- 2+ years of experience in managing a sales team
- Experience in a B2B sales environment, including sales organizational structures, indirect channels, sales systems, and industry data used in developing go-to-market strategies
- Network and relationships with local startup companies
- In-depth experience with selling AWS services
- Demonstrated ability to engage and influence C-level executives
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English
- AWS cloud certificated
- Excellent presentation and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Working experience with Salesforce or Hubspot - advantage
