About the Job
The Sales Director (SD) manages support functions essential to the sales force productivity. These include planning, reporting, quota setting/management, sales process optimization, sales training, sales program implementation, recruiting and selection of sales force talent.
The SD is responsible for the overall productivity and effectiveness of the assigned sales area/areas. Reporting to the Senior Sales Director, the SD also works closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the appropriate objectives and priorities are enabled and supported within the sales organization.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinates sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes used within the sales organization. Proactively monitors and strives to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in the sales organization’s planning efforts.
- Supports the equitable assignment of sales quotas and avoids stagnation by providing future sales forecasts.
- Works to ensure all sales organizations objectives are achieved in a timely fashion and forms strategies to maximize the company profit.
- Proactively identifies opportunities for sales process improvement while staying updated and effectively navigating within the market.
- Build a Succession Plan to develop future market leadership.
- Successfully manages, trains, and develops a large team of Territory Managers who are widespread across a geographical area.
- Ability to lead and motivate a high-performance sales team. Builds peer support and strong internal colleague relationships with all key management personnel.
- Directs and supports the consistent implementation of company initiatives.
- Directs staffing, training and performance evaluations
- Resolves escalated issues arising from Operations which require coordination with other departments
- Ensures that all locations have two events planned each month and delivers a ROI report monthly on those events.

Qualifications
- 5+ years successful sales experience consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
- 5+ or more years of experience in Retail.
- 5+ or more years of multi-unit experience overseeing 35+ locations.
- Proven professional history of driving and maintaining the sales process.
- Strong Analytical Skills and Business Acumen.
- Strong Organizational Skills with a Problem-Solving ability Strong Customer Service Skills
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
