SALES DIRECTOR
My client is an industry leading engineering firm based in Hammond, Wisconsin, involved in the design of Spray Dryers, Evaporators and associated industrial air heating and handling equipment - primarily for the food and dairy industry.
My client is seeking an experienced and motivated Sales Director(hunter) for a full-time position, proficient both in sales and in thermodynamic system knowledge.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Member of the company’s management committee, the candidate will be responsible for the sales of technical solutions to satisfy the customers processing needs in tight collaboration withthe process engineering director accountable for performance guarantees.
This is an outstanding opportunity to join our growing team, where the successful candidate will work with a group of engineers involved in the design, commissioning & start-up of our equipment and systems.
SALES AND NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT:
Work closely with General Manager in identifying new business opportunities.
Prepare technical sales presentations.
Negotiate and contractually within the company’s guidelines.
New business development by interfacing with potential new customers and maintaining existing key-customer relationships.
Create strong relationships with key client stakeholders at both senior and mid- management levels, identify decision makers.
Understand the competitive landscape and market trends
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
Knowledge of vacuum evaporation, spray drying systems or chemical/specialty chemical processing experience
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Negotiation skills for commercial and contractual matters
Generate and maintain accurate Account and Opportunity plans
Risk management processes.
Demonstrated success working in project teams.
Practical problem-solving skills applied to a variety of situations.
Ability to prioritize and organize multiple projects, tasks and deadlines while paying close attention to detail.
Self-motivated, ability to work independently under minimal supervision with a strong work ethic.
Experience with process environments and sanitary standards for the food and dairy industries a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Office, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Process Engineering or related field (graduate degree preferred)
10 years of experience in sales in and industrial engineer environment
Knowledge of vacuum evaporation and spray drying processes, ideally applied to food and dairy applications preferred
This position will be involved in all phases of the design and development process for our projects, domestically and internationally. Excellent growth potential for the right candidate based on skill and performance. Compensation based on experience and skill level.
