WHO DO WE WANT
Main Responsibilities:
Sales:
- Execute product strategies
- Ensure sales goals are accomplished, monitor and evaluate account and territory performance.
- Manage department store relationships at the buyer and DMM level
- Organize market and other key line presentations or trips.
- Aid and ensure reps maximize relationships and opportunities.
- Drive growth- regionally and by category.
- Grow wholesale margins leveraging data and analytics in conjunction with product placement strategies
Leadership:
- Plan wholesale division growth- build sales projections and review success on an ongoing basis to ensure end of year success
- Manage wholesale sales management team for boutique and department store channels; indirect management of outside sales rep teams.
- Structure weekly and monthly feedback tools for distribution company-wide as well as KPI reporting.
- Collaborate with Sales Ops to ensure effective, expeditious sales order management and to ensure monthly shipping goals are achieved.
- Cross functional collaboration with planning, brand management, marketing and merchandising teams. Represent opportunities in the wholesale channel and discuss necessities for effective growth.
- Negotiate margin and other co-op agreements with department stores.
- Project and devise appropriate markdown calendar based on selling
- Coordinate communication of sales results cross functionally; assess and suggest areas for improvement and growth.
- Compile and communicate competitive insights. Quantify opportunities.
- Devise and manage budgets for Co-Op, travel, and in store marketing.
- Recruit top talent and train, develop, and motivate sales team to achieve great results.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 8+ years sales experience, at least 2 at the manager level
- Budget and financial planning experience (P&L responsibilities)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Previous experience managing sales teams (inside & outside)
- Experience representing premium fashion brands.
- Sales experience with Nordstrom or Saks Fifth Avenue.
- Very comfortable with retail math, margin calculations, etc.
- Proficient in Google Drive, Excel, WMS software.
- Ability to travel, up to 25%.
