About the Role:
MVP is seeking a remote Director of Sales to be an active sales lead in one of our U.S. territories. The role will focus on developing and closing new business across MVP’s suite of products and services. Day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:
What You’ll Do:
- Identify client business challenges, budget, and decision criteria and align them to opportunities to sell MVP’s software, reporting, and data solutions
- Consistently prospect and drive creative outreach to sports properties, brands, and media companies in a consultative, solutions-oriented approach
- Develop a pipeline of qualified prospects large enough to meet or exceed sales quota
- Own the sales process by documenting in CRM and maintain pipeline data throughout the entire sales process from initial prospecting through onboarding
- In conjunction with internal sales support teams, lead delivery of RFP responses, product demos, and other sales pitches and proposals
- Develop and maintain trusted relationships with senior sponsorship decision-makers within brands, agencies, and sports properties
- Represent MVP externally at events, conferences, and other relevant industry gatherings
- Special projects or other duties as assigned by the SVP Revenue
What We'd Like You To Have:
- Minimum 5+ years in revenue development focused on integrated sponsorship sales, preferably in consultative selling to Fortune 500 C-level decision makers and/or similar senior level decision makers within the sports business community
- Proven track record of successfully negotiating and closing six or seven figure deals
- Experience in and/or deep knowledge of sports marketing partnerships and media is strongly preferred
- Strong network of sports sponsorship and brand marketing professionals preferred
- Ability to turn industry trends and knowledge into integrated solutions for clients
- Excellent communication skills including public speaking and presentation abilities
- Robust analytical skills, including territory strategy and finding repeatable ways to sell
- Comfort with technology and working in software including product demo capabilities
- Ability to travel and represent MVP in the market as needed
