POSITION SUMMARY
The Sales Development Specialist supports the engagement and activation of prospective customers. The specialist will proactively work with the sales and marketing team to generate and qualify new leads. The goal of this position is to qualify leads throughout the Holt of California and Holt Ag Solutions territories by engaging with new and existing customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Define, implement, and maintain a corporate wide process to collect, qualify, and distribute all inbound leads from various campaigns and channels in order to convert to sales ready opportunities.
• Demonstrate effective understanding of targeted audiences including industry knowledge, key business issues and industry trends along with an understanding of Holt's product and service offerings.
• Nurture valuable relationships with customers to increase sales, by capitalizing on all opportunities and maximizing coverage.
• Work closely with Sales and Marketing to build and maintain an effective pipeline of leads in order to support revenue goals.
• Manage CRM system for customer and sales lead updates.
• Provides CRM application training and support for all internal users.
• Provide lead status updates to applicable parties including sales management, partners, suppliers, vendors etc.
• Create and perform various outbound call campaigns around sales programs, specific events, or targets in addition to ongoing primary lead generation activities.
• Create and update dashboards for reporting of data.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Requires an Associates or Bachelors degree in English, Communications or Marketing. Education may be substituted by 3 to 4 years job experience in marketing, sales or equivalent combination of education and experience.

COMPENSATION
Wage Range $25.00 to $29.00
Wage depends on knowledge, skills and ability to perform the responsibilities of the job.
