Position Overview
As a Business Development Representative, you will spearhead our efforts to expand into Enterprise, Small to Medium-sized Businesses (SMB), or State, Local, and Educational (SLED) markets within designated territories. Your core responsibility will be to generate ready-to-close leads and opportunities by employing a mix of outbound and inbound prospecting techniques, including phone calls, emails, and social media engagement.
Responsibilities:This role is designed to kickstart your career in sales and position you as a pivotal player in our company’s growth and innovation in the market.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Sales teams to implement multi-touch, account-based campaigns that open doors and create connections.
- Utilize a blend of targeted cold calling, emailing, and networking strategies to actively seek out and engage prospective clients.
- Take the lead in setting up meetings for the Sales team by advancing prospects to qualified stage through insightfulresearch and interaction.
- Discover and apply innovative approaches to captivate prospects, making every interaction a steppingstone towards securing new clients.
- Drive the creation of new business opportunities by employing a mix of successful prospecting methods, including calls, emails, and social media outreach.
- Collaborate with fellow sales development representatives and account executives to ensure a seamless and effective sales process.
- Monitor and report on market trends, providing valuable insights that help refine sales and marketing strategies.
- Accurately utilize CRM and other sales tools to meticulously track and nurture leads, ensuring no opportunity is missed.
- Aim to surpass monthly and quarterly quotas, setting new benchmarks for success and driving personal, team and company achievements.
- Has one year of sales experience, with a preference or background in the Information Technology field.
- Has a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Has a strong work ethic, particularly in driving new business initiatives.
- Has effective time management and organizational abilities.
- Is responsive and initiates a thorough follow-up with customers and prospects.
- Is comfortable with high-volume outbound cold calling, showcasing a strong phone presence.
- Has a hunter’s salespersonmentality, being proactive and self-motivated.
