About the role
The Ascension Coffee Company Sales Coordinator is responsible for driving sales in the DFW market, focusing on wholesale coffee to restaurants and offices, and catering/private events at our cafes. This role requires a strong background in outside sales.
This salaried, exempt position reports to the Director of Operations and collaborates with the Director of Culinary, Marketing Manager, Roastery Team, and Café General Managers. It requires a minimum of 45 hours per week, including office work, client meetings, prospecting, sales visits, and in-café events. This is not remote.
What you"ll do
• Gain deep knowledge of Ascension's coffee, food, and beverage products for wholesale, catering, and private events in DFW.
• Proactively generate leads for events and wholesale clients through prospecting and lead management.
• Effectively communicate Ascension's coffee products to customers.
• Meet contact quotas and achieve quarterly sales targets aligned with the annual budget.
• Convert leads into opportunities or appointments. • Track and maintain prospect/customer contact records.
• Deliver impeccable customer service for existing and new clients.
• Represent Ascension at local events to build the brand in the DFW area.
• Develop signature menus and pricing for catering and private events.
• Foster collaboration with Ascension team members through open communication.
• Be coachable, approachable, and impactful in interactions.
• Promote a culture of inclusivity and quality with thoughtful communication
Qualifications
• Passionate about high-quality coffee, food, and beverages.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Collaborative team player with strong listening skills and openness to others" ideas.
• 3-5 years of experience in sales, preferably in foodservice or coffee.
• Self-motivated, with strong time management and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent in-person, phone, and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and meticulous.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Docs, CRM systems, and tech tools.
• Occasional travel to 1-2 industry events per year.
• Able to work on-site for high-profile events, including nights and weekends
