Sales Consultant

Job Purpose & Summary:

This position requires an individual with a solid understanding of plumbing and heating systems (field experience is preferred) and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will be a team player who is enthusiastic, flexible, adaptable, and maintains a positive attitude.

Location: Rockville, MD

Pay Range: $20-$25 per hour

Duties & Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

• Assist customers, both in person and over the phone, with their plumbing and heating needs
• Provide personalized customer service through timely quotations and accurate order processing
• Focus on customer service and sales
• Excellent communication skills are essential
• Maintain a working knowledge of plumbing/heating products and the industry
• Proficient in computer use (ability to learn and use specialized software) and internet research for customer service purposes
• Build and maintain customer relationships, ensuring clear communication with customers and coworkers
• Exhibit a positive, friendly, and helpful attitude toward customers and address their needs with sensitivity
• Ensure overall customer satisfaction
• Meet deadlines and manage tasks efficiently
• Perform other duties as assigned

Necessary Qualifications:

• Willingness and ability to learn
• Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
• Plumbing and heating experience
• Enthusiastic, courteous, and articulate
• Computer proficiency
• Customer-oriented mindset
• Ability to adapt to changing needs

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous experience in the plumbing and heating industry is helpful
• Familiarity with specialized software preferred

Required:

• Positive attitude and a strong desire to learn
