Sales Consultant
Job Purpose & Summary:
This position requires an individual with a solid understanding of plumbing and heating systems (field experience is preferred) and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will be a team player who is enthusiastic, flexible, adaptable, and maintains a positive attitude.
Location: Rockville, MD
Pay Range: $20-$25 per hour
Duties & Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
- Assist customers, both in person and over the phone, with their plumbing and heating needs
- Provide personalized customer service through timely quotations and accurate order processing
- Focus on customer service and sales
- Excellent communication skills are essential
- Maintain a working knowledge of plumbing/heating products and the industry
- Proficient in computer use (ability to learn and use specialized software) and internet research for customer service purposes
- Build and maintain customer relationships, ensuring clear communication with customers and coworkers
- Exhibit a positive, friendly, and helpful attitude toward customers and address their needs with sensitivity
- Ensure overall customer satisfaction
- Meet deadlines and manage tasks efficiently
- Perform other duties as assigned
Necessary Qualifications:
- Willingness and ability to learn
- Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
- Plumbing and heating experience
- Enthusiastic, courteous, and articulate
- Computer proficiency
- Customer-oriented mindset
- Ability to adapt to changing needs
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous experience in the plumbing and heating industry is helpful
- Familiarity with specialized software preferred
Required:
- Positive attitude and a strong desire to learn
