Sales Associate - Northeast Arc

An amazing new opportunity has come up in our Parcels Store! We are looking for a Sales Associate to join us Part-Time and support The Liberty Tree Mall!

Job Summary:
Provides excellence in customer service, assists customers with selecting items, and maintains a clean, safe, and stocked environment.

Major Responsibilities:

• Provides excellence in customer service by greeting customers, supporting shopping, and recommending items for purchase.
• Responds quickly and resourcefully to customer requests and concerns.
• Creates a positive, inviting environment for customers.
• Organizes items on display and replaces merchandise from the stock room as needed.
• Understands and uses basic selling skills to engage and present solutions for customers.
• Handles cash transactions with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Monitors and protects store products while customers are shopping.
• Understands the mission and values of Northeast Arc in order to direct people to appropriate staff for support.
• Works independently and at times alone. Acts as a key holder and opens and secures store.

Qualifications:
Previous experience in retail or sales environment, or willingness to learn. The willingness and desire to support full inclusion of people with disabilities.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Reliable and dependable. Able to work a flexible schedule (including nights and weekends). Must be able to engage and speak to customers and understand their needs. Attention to detail. Excellent verbal communication skills. Understanding of POS systems. Ability to problem solve.

Physical Demands:
Standing, bending, and reaching required. Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment: Store front area with customer interactions.

Job Type: Per Diem

Pay: $19.50
