About the Job
Job Summary: Responsible for documentation, contacting & scheduling meeting, visiting with customers, becoming familiar with operations with skilled personnel, providing analytical data and clear communications with the Aggregate team.
Key Job Functions
- Become knowledgeable of aggregate products available for sale, what application they are needed for and be able to answer questions regarding;
- Assist in finding new sales leads and reaching out to potential customers;
- Build relationships with new and existing customers and be in contact with them as necessary;
- Participate in meeting, provide feedback on customers want and needs;
- Address customer concerns and find solutions for with assistance of colleagues;
- Provide customer quotes and enter accordingly into computer system;
- Contact truckers and arrange for delivery of aggregate if customer requires; when required
- Visit job-sites periodically
- Create, maintain, and present accurate backlog information for VCNA Prairie Aggregates
- Build backlogs using Sales Forecast, Microsoft Access, and Microsoft Excel.
- Reconcile and audit backlog with all sales representatives
- Create accompanying backlog reports and templates
- Provide support Aggregates Sales team
- Present clear and accurate information to Sales Acct Reps and upper management under strict deadlines.
Education: High School Diploma;
Experience: Minimum two (2) years experience in sales and product knowledge preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must have strong working knowledge of product applications and specifications.
- Effective communication skills to include but not limited to: strong negotiation skills, coaching skills, active listening skills.
- Analytical and organization skills are essential.
- Must be able to build strong lasting relationships with a diverse group of customers.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
