About the Job
Position Summary:
Join us as a Sales Application Engineer and drive our success in the Test and Measurement Business Unit with a dynamic focus on the Aerospace and Military sectors! In this role, you'll engage with both current and prospective clients, delivering expert advice and innovative solutions tailored to their needs. You'll collaborate closely with T&M Manufacturer Representatives and spearhead the sales of cutting-edge products and services. The role covers the California territory, and candidates must be located in the Irvine, California area (Orange County).
Key Responsibilities:
- Meets the defined sales targets and KPI in a defined sales territory.
- Develop and implement a sales strategy in conjunction with the BU Sales Manager.
- Provide advice on the appropriate application of each company product.
- Spend at least 3 days per week in front of customers.
- Ability to work from a home office and maintain communication with the office and customer base while travelling in the territory.
- Identifies unique requirements and consults with application engineering on special solutions.
- Provides product/application technical presentations, price quotations and customer proposals as required.
- Will perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline from an accredited four-year college, with a preference for Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, plus five years of experience in technical sales.
- Proven expertise in highly dynamic and quasi-static measurements and analysis.
- Experience with the application of transducers, associated electronics, and software for dynamic measurement applications, including Pressure, Force, Acceleration, Torque, Signal Conditioning, and Data Acquisition for Test and Measurement.
- Strong technical knowledge of dynamic and quasi-static transducers and associated electronics.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be a US Citizen due to customer base requirements.
- Physical requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.
