Crown Recruiting seeks a Sales Agronomist to join the team of an agricultural company in the Shelby, IA area. In this role, the Sales Agronomist will be essential in promoting and selling products to growers, leveraging agronomy expertise and sales skills to drive business growth and ensure customer satisfaction. Sales Agronomist Responsibilities:
- Relationship Building: Establish and nurture strong connections with farmers and agricultural businesses within your designated territory.
- Sales and Promotion: Actively market and sell a range of agronomic products, including seeds, fertilizers, crop protection products, and other agricultural inputs.
- Product Expertise: Stay informed about the latest agronomic products, technologies, and industry developments.
- Expert Guidance: Offer specialized advice on crop management practices, soil health, pest control, and other agronomic concerns.
- Solution-Oriented: Recognize customer challenges and provide effective solutions.
- Sales Strategy: Create and implement sales strategies to meet assigned targets.
- Market Research: Perform market analysis to uncover new opportunities and trends.
Sales Agronomist Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, & willingness to travel within territory
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Agronomy, Agricultural Science, or related field
- At least 2-3 years' experience in sales within ag industry
- Strong knowledge of agronomic practices, crop production, & ag technologies
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required & ability to learn/use Ag software
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
- Precision Ag experience is a plus!
