Sales Agronomist Responsibilities:
- Build & maintain strong relationships with existing & future clients
- Conduct sales presentations, product demonstrations, & give expert agronomic advice & crop planning recommendations to customers
- Responsible for increasing sales of crop inputs & related products to established customers
- Provide expert agronomic advice & recommendations to customers
- Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, & competitors
- Prepare sales reports & forecasts to meet company goals
Sales Agronomist Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license & willingness to travel within territory
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Science, Crop Science, or related
- At least 2-3 years' experience in sales within ag industry, especially chemical sales
- At least 2-3 years' experience in crop scouting
- Strong knowledge of agronomic practices, crop production, & ag technologies
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required & ability to learn/use Ag software
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
