As a result of continued growth, Riedel Communications is looking to hire a talented and motivated candidate to support our sales team in their daily challenges. As Sales Administrator, you will serve as the first line contact for all potential and existing customers, supporting our Sales Managers throughout the entire pre-sales administrative process. This full-time position is based out of our Santa Clarita, CA, office. It reports to the Operations Manager and may require availability for compensated on-call and/or overtime service when requested.
Your responsibilities- Provide daily administrative assistance and assist customer and departmental requests via email or phone.
- Prepare sales quotes based on specifications as delegated by the Sales team or management.
- Help the Sales department improve their productivity by removing operational complexity and being their trusted partner for communication with key accounts.
- Acts as the unique interface between the Sales and Operations departments.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure sales, marketing, queries, and deliveries are handled efficiently.
- Coordinate with the Sales and Customer Success departments in the follow-up of annual recurring contract renewals for Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) or software, as well as usage-based software models.
- Drive data quality by actively flagging data inconsistency issues in Salesforce to the respective sales manager(s).
- Respond to website sales inquiries and customer calls , providing price quotes on an as-needed basis.
- Proactively build, maintain, and monitor the progress of Salesforce tracking dashboards to gauge sales performance metrics.
- Regularly produce reporting details on sales forecasting and/or performance to the Sales department or management.
- Support Order Management with tasks such as:
- On-time processing of orders from receipt to delivery, including subsequent invoicing and payment monitoring.
- Coordinate with warehouse and shipping teams to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Enter new customer data in the CRM and ERP and ensure accuracy of existing data.
- Assist with and coordinate travel bookings through Concur travel management software, as needed.
- Assist Sales and Marketing team with trade show and event support, as needed.
- Keep up to date with new products and features.
- Follow all company’s policies and procedures.
- 1-2 years of experience working in a sales administration or coordinating role desired.
- 1-2 years of experience using CRM software (especially Salesforce) is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of ERP software systems (especially Microsoft Dynamics Navision and/or SAP) is a plus.
- Proven experience in a relevant field of work, ideally in a technical and/or product selling industry.
- Knowledge of sales principles and customer service best practices highly desired.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under strict deadlines.
- Results oriented with a dedication to high quality service.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees, customers, and other business contacts in a courteous and professional manner
- Ability to manage situations of a dynamic nature; able to modify plans, actions and/or decisions in light of changing situations and circumstances while still meeting deadlines.
- Friendly, helpful, confident and engaging personality
- Proficiency in office administration skills and using Microsoft Suite programs (especially Microsoft Excel) is a must.
- Time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks are a must.
- Academic degree in Business Administration or a related field is highly desired.

Salary range: $55,000-$65,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
