Essential Functions:
• Work closely with sales and grower accounting team to understand financial needs and provide guidance on financial matters
• Analyze, and account for variances, which affect the sales department and its various programs
• General ledger account reconciliation
• Responsible for maintaining and improving regular sales reporting
• Cost analysis of sales operations throughout the season
• Receive and code import AP documents in a timely manner and work with AR team in validations
• Coordinate with Imports team to ensure accurate financial accounting of all imported fruit, including charges, sales, advances, and final settlements
• Coordinate reporting of financial distributions to importers
• Assist in tracking and collecting necessary information regarding importer documents including volume and commodity details
• Monitor and report on the financial performance of each importer’s operations
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting practices and financial standards
• Provide support in financial planning for future seasons
• Daily/weekly verification of postings to ensure accurate inventory and QC appropriate documents are collected
• Review and maintain outside purchase files while ensuring accurate posting of purchases and charges
• Coordinate with production team to validate that all orders are finished and closed in a timely manner
• Reconcile and report the profitability of purchased files
• Responsible for collecting and reporting daily and weekly sales volume by price and commodities throughout the year
• Coordinate with sales admin team on outstanding orders and reconciling items while keeping the accounting team up to date on file statuses
• Reconciliation of various expenses impacting the profitability of the sales department
• Analyzing price support and rejection files
• Ensure correct freight revenue and expense reporting within the system.
• Validate Power BI freight tool is correct and accurate by customer and commodity
• Review customer related deductions for pallets, overages, shortages, and damages
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
• Proven experience in accounting, financial analysis, agricultural industry experience a plus
• Knowledge of fresh produce sales practices and an understanding of the unique financial challenges of the industry
• Proficiency in ERP software and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Problem-solving and analytical abilities

Staff Accountant: Sales, will have a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy of sales department financial information. Work closely with our sales team, director of imports, grower accounting, and finance team to oversee financial transactions and support the decision-making process related to sales operations.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $70,000.00 - $80,000.00
