Job Summary:
The Pest Control Sales Representative plays a vital role in the growth of a pest control company. A friendly and determined Pest Control Sales Representative develops new accounts with leading customers, builds a positive customer relationship, closing deals, and ensures repeat business from existing clients. A majority of a Pest Control Sales Representative's daily role includes making inbound and outbound calls, traveling to residential and commercial customers' property, and following up on potential leads. Pest Control Sales Representatives ultimately represent the pest control company and must obtain the skills to listen to customer needs and meet those needs to satisfaction.
Essential Functions:
- Generate leads and contact homeowners in your assigned area to generate sales
- Follow up on internal leads to generate a sale
- Keep scheduled appointments on time
- Adequately explain and demonstrate the benefits and prices of our products and services
- Estimate pest control costs and prepare contracts
- Inspect customers' homes; inside, outside, attics, basements, and crawl spaces
- Upsell on other services
- Must close multiple sales per week
- Expected to complete 3-4 proposals per day
- Complete contracts and submit to clients at time of inspection or within 24 hours
- Know all contract terms and conditions and encouraged to know our competitors as well
- Contact customers after services are performed to ensure satisfaction
- Work with outside sales team to market and close leads
- Market and work with real estate agents and builders
- Attend all required training sessions
- All other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of sales experience
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Basic math skills
- 21 years of age preferred for insurance purposes
- Ability to pass a drug screen and 7-year background check
- Possess current driver's license
- Proof of clean driving record for past 3 years
- Willing to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Legally able to work in the United States
- Ability to pass and maintain any state regulatory agency required licensing exams
- Previous experience in the termite or pest control industry is preferred, but we are willing to train the individual who believes in themselves and can exceed our expectations
Physical Requirements:
- Required to use ladder
- Must have the ability to walk, climb, stoop, reach, crawl, crouch, kneel, push, pull and lift a minimum of 20lbs or more
- Sitting for long periods of time while commuting to job sites
- Must be able to maneuver in close or tight quarters
