Safety Specialist - Kimco Staffing Services, Inc.

Growing company in San Dimas has immediate need for an experienced Safety Specialist to add to their EHS Team.

The Environmental Health and Safety Specialist monitors and interprets regulations to ensure compliance, conducts safety training for staff, and develops safety programs to mitigate risks. They perform facility inspections, analyze injury trends, and assist in emergency preparedness. Additionally, they communicate with internal and external stakeholders about safety inquiries and provide recommendations on workplace design and ergonomics to enhance safety and comfort.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Management or similar with 5 years’ experience as a safety professional Or 12 years relevant experience if no Safety Degree.

• Membership in appropriate professional organization (e.g., American Society of Safety Engineers) a plus.

• Certified Safety Professional designation highly desirable

• Excellent communication skills.

• Proficient with computerized office equipment, including demonstrated knowledge of data entry, spreadsheets, relational databases, statistical packages, and graphics packages to assemble, manipulate and/or format information and data for reports

• Experience in composing, editing, and preparing correspondence addressing complex issues

• Must be able to work independently, exercise initiative and judgment in the performance of a wide range of support responsibilities in an environment of routinely sensitive and confidential issues.

• Able to interact professionally with a variety of Company’s management staff, visitors, and vendors.
