CornerStone Professional Placement is seeking a Safety Specialist for an esteemed client in the Aviation industry. As the Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for observing airline employees and auditing for safety best practices to ensure a safe workplace. Qualified candidates will have 2+ years’ of experience in a Safety Compliance, Safety Coordinator, Safety Specialist, Safety Auditor or similar Safety role within airport, airline, or military aviation with knowledge of OSHA, EPA, ISAGO, SMS, and DOT standards. Requirements & Responsibilities for the Safety Specialist – Commercial Aviation:
• 2+ years of experience in an aviation safety compliance, safety specialist, safety auditor, safety coordinator, or similar safety role, preferably at a commercial airport for military aviation.
• Bachelor's Degree in occupational safety or industrial health is preferred, but work experience can be considered in lieu of degree.
• CSP or CHST Certification is a bonus, but not required.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, ISAGO, SMS, and DOT standards.
• Experience observing and auditing above and below wing safety procedures to ensure employees are following established safety guidelines

Compensation for the Safety Specialist – Commercial Aviation:
• Direct Hire
• Salary/Pay: $72-80K/year (+/- based on experience)
• Location: On site in Charlotte, NC 28208
