OMS Field Services is looking for a Safety Manager to work in our clients Vegetation Management program. Safety Manager will be responsible for the schedules, duties, and personnel matters of Safety Consultants. Act as a liaison between client and contractor/subcontractor, managing each relationship and representing client on all engagements. Business conduct must occur in accordance with OMS policies and procedures and be aligned with the goals of OMS.

Essential Functions:
- Provide presentations and reports. Reports to client or contractor upper-level management.
- Represent client in any regulatory or legal proceedings on issues directly associated with the work directly under the position’s supervision.
- Manage documentation for the receipt, review, approval and retention of contractor safety related documents (e.g., Programmatic Safety Plans, Project Specific Safety Plans, Job Safety Analyses, Field Safety Observations).
- Consult and assist on contractor risk classification for inclusion into the Contractor Safety Program.
- Consult and assist on the development of adequate Scopes of Work (SOWs) for program related contracts.
- Function as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Federal, State, and local laws, rules, regulations and ordinances including, but not limited to, DOT, EPA, OSHA, Cal/OSHA and CPUC.
- Partner with the strategic and tactical leadership teams to develop tracking and performance deliverables to help ensure program effectiveness to meet program compliance requirements.
- Participate in development of program curriculum and delivering of training to support the communication of established processes or procedure requirements to stakeholders.
- Access, assess, and provide analysis for contractor safety information management in ISNetworld (ISN),
- Take direction from Client Supervisors and Management responsible for Contractor Safety within Vegetation Management.
- Other duties as assigned by OMS or the client.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Forestry related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- OSHA 30 Hour Certification
- 10 years job-related experience (i.e., Utility Tree Crew).
- Required to maintain a Class C driver’s license, including participating in Employer Pull Notice Program (EPN), with DMV.
- Conduct a background check, drug screening, and physical exam.
- Approval by Client Representative
Preferred:
- Certified Utility Safety Professional (CSP) certification.
- Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST) certification.
- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification.
