Job Details
- Job Title: Construction Safety Manager
- Location: Moses Lake, WA
- Duration: 6 Months (Start: 1/27/2025)
- Type: 1099 Contractor
Compensation:
- Hourly Rate: $50/hr
- Per Diem: $125/day (if over 50 miles from Moses Lake, WA)
- Completion Bonus: $150/month
- Pay: Weekly
Schedule:
- Days: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 40 hrs/week (1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM | 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM)
Project Scope
You will oversee the safety of the construction completion for a silicon battery material factory as the Owner's Representative for our client. Key safety protocols include:
- Lock Out/Tag Out
- Hot Work
- Excavation/Civil Work
- Mechanical Operations
Responsibilities:
- Supervise multiple subcontractors (200-300 personnel on-site).
- Conduct daily meetings with subcontractor safety managers.
- Perform site orientations and maintain a visible field presence to ensure safety and compliance.
Qualifications
- Certifications:
- OSHA 510 with 3+ years of experience, or
- OSHA 30 with 7+ years of experience, or
- CSP/BSP/BCSP Certification
- Other: First Aid/CPR certification; bilingual abilities are a plus.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations.
- Provide safety training as needed.
- Monitor worksite employees and enforce safety practices.
- Review and manage safety-related documentation and contractor correspondence.
- Perform additional EHS-related tasks as required.
Skills & Knowledge
Skills:
- Excellent public speaking and communication abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- OSHA outreach training experience (a plus)
- Professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of EHS and industry regulatory standards in construction
- Effective communication of EHS principles
