Job Title: Construction Safety Manager
Location: Lancaster, TX
Duration: 18-24 Months (Immediate Start)
Type: 1099 Contractor
Compensation:
- Hourly Rate: $47-49/hr (Regular Rate) $70.5-$73.5 (Overtime Rate)
- Completion Bonus: $150/month
- Pay: Weekly
Schedule:
- Hours: Monday to Friday - Some Saturdays (60 hours a week)
Project Scope:
Overall safety management for GC for a large Data Center. Experience in various industries and trades preferred, such as commercial, industrial, renewable energy, and infrastructure. Familiarity with trades like electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and concrete is highly valued.
Qualifications:
Experience: 7+ years in construction safety management, with a strong background in site safety coordination, hazard identification, risk assessment, and compliance with OSHA standards. Experience with scaffolding, trenching, excavation, fall protection, heavy equipment operations, and crane safety is a plus. Electrical safety experience preferred. Bilingual (Spanish Speaking).
Certifications: Current OSHA 500 certification preferred. Additional certifications in confined space entry, rigging, signal person, and first aid/CPR are highly desirable.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations.
- Provide safety training as needed.
- Monitor worksite employees and enforce safety practices.
- Review and manage safety-related documentation and contractor correspondence.
- Perform additional EHS-related tasks as required within the manager's skills and certifications
Skills:
- Excellent public speaking and communication abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- OSHA outreach training experience is a plus.
- Confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
