Job Title: Construction Safety Manager
Location: Dallas, TX
Duration: 12-18 months
Type: 1099 Contractor
Compensation:
• Hourly Rate: $50/hr
• Per Diem: N/A
• Completion Bonus: $150/month
• Pay: Weekly
Schedule:
• Start: ASAP
• Shifts: Monday - Friday, 10-12 hour days
Project Scope:
Client is a General Contractor overseeing all trades for a solar panel installation project in Dallas, TX. You will be expected to work in the field daily, conducting regular safety inspections, training, and ensuring compliance with OSHA standards. The project owner is a international solar panel manufacturer, adding an international component to this project. The right candidate will help foster a culture of safety, working directly with diverse teams to ensure safe operations on-site.
Qualifications:
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• OSHA 30 certification (Required)
• 6+ years of construction safety experience (Required)
• Proven experience in managing on-site safety for large-scale construction projects.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
• Conduct safety inspections and employee orientations to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Oversee job site safety and ensure adherence to OSHA and company safety protocols.
• Provide safety training and support as needed, promoting a culture of safety excellence.
• Monitor employees on-site and enforce safety rules.
• Maintain and review safety documentation, incident reports, and communication with contractors.
• Perform additional EHS-related tasks within your qualifications.
Skills:
• Strong leadership and communication skills in both English and Spanish.
• Ability to work independently in the field, conducting detailed safety assessments.
• Organizational skills to manage safety documentation and reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Knowledge:
In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety management in construction environments, and the ability to communicate safety procedures effectively.
