Job Title: Construction Safety Manager (Dallas/Forth Worth, TX)
Location: Dallas/Forth Worth, TX
Duration: 3+ Months (12/1)
Type: 1099 Contractor
Compensation:
- Hourly Rate: $43/hr
- Completion Bonus: $150/month
- Pay: Weekly
Schedule:
- Hours: 40hrs/week | M-F 0600 - 1400 | Possible OT if weather is inconsistent | Major Holidays off (non-paid)
Project Scope:
The Construction Safety Manager will oversee the safety of Heavy Civil oversite of road completion and heavy machinery. Crew of 15-25 (JSAs, Site Walks, Audits, safety enforcement, etc.).
Qualifications:
- Experience: 7+ years in construction safety management, Civil construction experience, Road Safety experience
- Certifications: Current OSHA 30 certification, Bilingual, and First Aid/CPR
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations.
- Provide safety training as needed.
- Monitor worksite employees and enforce safety practices.
- Review and manage safety-related documentation and contractor correspondence.
- Perform additional EHS-related tasks as required within the manager's skills and certifications
Skills:
- Excellent public speaking and communication abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- OSHA outreach training experience is a plus.
- Confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of EHS and industry regulatory standards in construction, with the ability to communicate these effectively.
