Overview:
Master Halco, North America’s leading manufacturer/distributor of fencing and perimeter security products, is seeking an experienced Safety Manager in our Dallas, TX headquarters office.
The Safety Manager will develop, implement, coordinate, and manage safety programs to prevent and ensure a safe, healthy, and risk-controlled work environment that is compliant with all safety regulations.

- Develops and implements health and safety plans and procedures for compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Canadian safety authority rules and regulations
- Coordinate with the Training Department to develop and implement health and safety training curriculum
- Develop and deliver new-employee health and safety orientations
- Review and create company safety policies as needed
- Recommend process and product safety features that will help protect workers from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or materials
- Inspect/audit facilities, machinery, fire prevention, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards to ensure safety regulation compliance
- Investigate accidents or injuries to determine causes, preventive, and corrective measures
- Maintains safety files and records
- Review plans and specifications to support construction of new machinery or equipment to determine whether all safety requirements have been met
- Maintain or update emergency response plans or procedures
- Leads and participate in Safety Committees
- Works with the investigation of accidents and injuries and helps in the preparation of material and evidence for organization use in hearings, lawsuits, and insurance investigations
- Compiles and submits accident reports required by regulatory agencies
- Works with the insurance provider and company’s Risk Manager to reduce employee lost time and reduce hazards through inspection and corrective actions on recommendations
- Conduct or direct testing of air quality, noise, or temperature to verify compliance with health and safety regulations
- 5 plus years' of experience in safety preferably in an industrial setting
- Bachelor's degree or above
- OSHA training authorizations (511 and 501 for General Industry) strongly preferred
- ASP or CSP certifications a plus
- Ability to interface effectively with all levels of personnel
- Ability to deliver training both in person and virtual.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Computer Skills Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc
- Ability to develop safety reports and presentations
- 40-50% travel required
