Safety Director - Nesco Resource

The Safety Director plays a critical leadership role in managing the company’s safety operations and ensuring compliance with top-tier safety standards. This individual will spearhead the development and execution of cutting-edge safety initiatives, reinforcing the company's position as an industry leader in the construction industry. This is a direct hire position offering long-term stability and professional growth!

Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 | Bonus Eligible
Location: Chemung County, NY
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the safety department team, ensuring effective execution of corporate safety initiatives.
• Work with the safety team to develop and implement new safety protocols and programs to uphold the company’s leadership in the industry.
• Be the company representative for all safety and risk meetings
• Collaborate with HR and accounting to evaluate and manage workers’ compensation claims.
• Stay up to date on OSHA regulations and ensure ongoing compliance, adjusting strategies as needed to align with industry changes.
• Plan and lead quarterly safety meetings across divisions, ensuring alignment with organizational safety goals.

• Proven leadership abilities with a track record of motivating and guiding teams toward a shared vision of safety excellence.
• Strong communication skills and professionalism, capable of representing the company with integrity at all levels.
• Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make proactive decisions.
• Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA regulations and a commitment to staying current with evolving safety standards and best practices.
• Analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to evaluate safety data and develop actionable strategies for continuous improvement.
• 10+ years of experience in safety manager/leadership position
• OSHA Certified
