Compensation:
- Hourly Rate: $55/hr (non-local) or $63/hr (local)
- Per Diem: $125/day (7 days)
- Completion Bonus: $150/month
- Pay: Weekly
Schedule:
- Shifts: Day and night shift options available
- Hours: 40-50 hours per week, 10-hour shifts, typically Monday to Thursday, with occasional Fridays
- Night Shift Timing: 6 PM - 4 AM
Project Scope:
This project involves the construction of a new data center, focusing on the installation and integration of electrical systems. The Safety Coordinators will collaborate with the electrical contractor to ensure all construction activities comply with safety protocols, OSHA standards, and industry regulations. The role requires expertise in managing safety on complex, fast-paced data center projects with high-risk activities, including electrical work, confined space entry, and heavy equipment operation.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years in construction safety
- Previous data center construction experience Required
- Experience in electrical safety preferred
Certifications:
- BCSP Certification (SMS or higher) Required
- Additional qualifications in electrical safety, confined space, and fall protection are a plus
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive safety inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and site-specific safety protocols
- Lead safety orientations for new employees and subcontractors, emphasizing high-risk data center activities
- Develop and implement safety training tailored to the needs of electrical contractors and data center construction teams
- Monitor daily site operations, enforce safety practices, and foster a culture of safety
- Review and maintain safety documentation, contractor correspondence, and incident reports
- Collaborate with project management to address and mitigate potential safety risks
- Perform additional EHS tasks as required
Skills:
- Strong public speaking, communication, and leadership abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and safety management software
- Meticulous organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- OSHA outreach training experience is highly valued
Work Environment:
This role is primarily based in a data center construction setting but may also include work in warehouse and manufacturing environments. After-hours or weekend availability may be required based on project needs or emergencies.
