Job description
As a Safety Coordinator you will be expected to help improve the overall safety of the workplace. From assessing safety, enforcing safety standards to educating our employees.
Job Duties:
- Planning health and safety program and protocols.
- Provide guidance to leadership teams.
- Presenting safety training sessions to the company.
- Ensuring compliance with OSHA, federal and state regulations.
- Perform Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
- Verifying that employees consistently follow safety protocols.
- Analyzing health and safety data.
- Reviewing and recommending changes to regular activities.
- Perform site safety inspections.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Understanding of OSHA guidelines and other state and local safety regulations.
- Familiarity with the tools, machines and equipment used in the workplace.
- Attention to detail.
- Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to teach others the established safety standards.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer literacy skills and comfort with various types of technology used in the industry.
- Ability to work well as a team and interact with different groups of people.
- OSHA Certified
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
- Be able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration Document
- Attention to detail and follow directions.
- Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
- Must have own transportation to various work sites within the state of Arizona.
- Must have own finishing tools.
- Steel boots are required.
- Strictly adhere to safety requirements and procedures
- Must have own nail bags and tools for forming and finishing.
