Summary: Top Manufacturing Company is seeking a dedicated Direct Hire Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Coordinator to oversee and maintain all EHS programs for our manufacturing and warehouse facilities. The Safety Coordinator will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while promoting a safe and healthy work environment.

Summary: Top Manufacturing Company is seeking a dedicated Direct Hire Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Coordinator to oversee and maintain all EHS programs for our manufacturing and warehouse facilities. The Safety Coordinator will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Update and maintain all EHS files, records, and training materials.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations at all levels.
- Develop and communicate EHS policies, procedures, campaigns, and training.
- Track safety performance metrics and recommend continual improvements.
- Participate in detailed incident investigations and root cause analysis.
- Verify proper disposal of hazardous and universal waste in accordance with EPA guidelines.
- Conduct quarterly stormwater inspections and facility assessments.
- Provide training in emergency response procedures, hazardous material handling, and industrial hygiene.
- Coordinate chemical approval process and SDS inventory audits.
- Assist in compliance reviews, risk assessments, and safety inspections.
- Perform facility and equipment inspections to identify and correct potential hazards.
- Provide ergonomic assistance and support the Ergonomics Program.
- Compile documentation for annual regulatory reports, including FVEC chemicals, AER, and Toxic Chemical Release Inventory.
- Coordinate waste oil pickups and manifest training for employees.
- Conduct annual safety orientations and audit temporary employee orientations.
- Coordinate hearing conservation and respiratory protection programs.
- Certify and evaluate powered industrial truck and aerial work platform operators.
- Maintain workers' compensation case files and advise management on modified duty assignments.
- Identify potential causes for accidents and evaluate incidents for trend identification.
- Facilitate Safety Committee meetings and coordinate annual trainings for Lock Out Tag Out, Confined Space, Bloodborne Pathogens, and Crane operations.
- Audit departments for safety compliance and report deficiencies to management.
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
