Route Delivery Driver at BioTrans

We are looking for a Part Time Delivery Driver to join our Indianapolis, IN Hub!

BioTrans logistics is a global logistics provider that specializes in cold chain transportation, technology and infrastructure for the life sciences industry.

Shifts:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday early morning start times as early as 3:00 am.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Safely operate, load, unload and deliver freight utilizing a small box truck or cargo van
• Adhere to assigned routes and follow time sensitive schedules that require detailed attention
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections; fuel the truck as needed; evaluate and report issues through the appropriate parties (dispatch/ managers)
• Warehouse duties, clean, wash and sanitize truck's, assist with sorting and scanning of crates for driver route's

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

• While performing the duties of the job, the employee is frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather) and fumes or airborne particles. Must be able to safely tolerate heat in the summer and cold in the winter.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling and squatting.
• Extended periods of sitting.
• Sequential or simultaneous use of hands, arms, feet and legs.

Requirements and Employee Expectations

• Must be at least 21+ years of Age
• Valid driver's license with For Hire Endorsement – Previously a Chauffeur’s License
• DOT Medical Card preferred.
• Acceptable driving record (2 or fewer moving violations in the past 3 years and no DWI/DUI in the past 5 years for insurance purposes).
• Successful completion of a background check and drug screening
• Ability to use smartphones and willingness to learn our company’s workflow-related applications
• Basic computer, tablet and/or smartphone skills and GPS and other routing systems
• Be a quick learner, detail-oriented, dependable, have a positive attitude
• Communication proficiency - Able to follow verbal and written directions
• Must NOT be restricted for access on military bases and government facilities
