The Position
At Grid United, the Development team serves as “quarterbacks” of the transmission projects by coordinating with internal and external subject matter experts, ensuring alignment across the team, and shaping project strategy. As detailed in the Qualifications section below, this role requires well-rounded candidates who can understand the technical aspects of their projects and also communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders. The Development team also leads all community engagement; therefore, this role requires frequent travel to the project areas.
Grid United is simultaneously advancing its mature projects while adding new projects to its portfolio, which results in a face-paced environment with ever-changing development support needs. For that reason, Grid United is seeking to bolster its development team with junior-level employees who can rotate between its projects and provide support where it is most needed. This will allow the associate/analyst to learn more broadly across Grid United's portfolio, including exposure to Grid United's priority projects and workstreams that most critically need the extra support.
The role will be based in Houston but will include regular travel to the project areas. This role reports to a Development Director.
