PEMEX Deer Park is a highly complex refinery located 18 miles east of Houston in Deer Park, TX, and is a part of the PEMEX group which is a fully integrated oil company in the Americas, working across the entire value chain: exploration, production, industrial processing/refining, logistics and marketing. Job Purpose:
- Plan and execute jobs in the rotating equipment discipline. This role supports base maintenance, major maintenance, turnarounds, and capital projects, as needed.
- Provide support to multiple operating Area teams to maintain and improve operational safety and availability.
- Serve as a technical resource to the rotating equipment advisors, maintenance foremen, and maintenance millwrights in the troubleshooting and repair of site rotating equipment.
- Provide training on rotating equipment and support systems to maintenance and operational personnel.
- Provides direction and leadership to contract work force
- Project Size – Varies, ranging from $100K to $3mln
- Active Construction Projects – approximately 1-5, size and complexity dependent
- Supports and promotes the Major Maintenance department vision for HSE
- Key member of Turnaround Planning – Responsible for all planning, costing and execution of rotating equipment within Turnaround window.
- Ensure assigned projects are progressing without delays in line with the current budgets and schedules. Responsible for confirming and reporting status of all work assigned consistent basis
- Proper PO management through the life cycle of the job. REQ and PO creation, management of changes and cost predictability.
- Ensures crafts are highly productive by removal of barriers
- Responsible for timesheet authorization for assigned contractors
- Drives KPI compliance and improvement with respect to productivity, schedule attainment, and work permit delays.
- Ensure work orders in SAP are correctly coded and manage contractor costs throughout a project.
- Adherence to the QA Plan
- Assist team with root cause failure analysis and provides recommendations for improvement.
- Identify critical equipment spare part requirements and ensures warehouse storage is aligned with the plan.
- Accountable for proper planning, integration, and coordination of all work scope for the project or event
- Manages work force levels and is accountable for work force efficiency
- Support MOC process and ensures technical documentation is maintained per company policy.
- Review equipment repair reports from outside shops, provides input on inspection requirements and approves repair plans ensuring compliance with Pemex specifications.
- Interface with Pemex Engineering and Production Unit Managers to share lessons learned and best practices.

- Ensures compliance to plant orders, policies and procedures
- Coaches / advises other Construction Coordinators and construction contractor supervision
- Is mindful of and continues to look for opportunities to reduce construction scope and improve productivity and efficiencies.

Key Qualifications:
- Strong Supervisory skills with an in depth understand of field planning, productivity and safety
- In-depth understanding of the Maintenance Work Processes
- Proven track record of planning, estimating and executing rotating equipment program/portfolio
- Knowledgeable in workflow/processes for outside shops to support logistic challenges
- Proficient in SAP, TRACK and Purchase Requisition Process
- Excellent communication skills

- Planning experience with major machinery such as Reciprocating and centrifugal compressors.
- Turbo machinery and steam turbine experience would be plus
- Basic understanding of the rotating craft a plus
Experience Requirements:
- 10+ years experience in construction, turnarounds, or maintenance in a supervisory or leadership role
- Basic understanding of cost control methodology
- 10+ years planning and coordinating knowledge around critical equipment repairs and overhauls, ranging from process compressors to API pumps and steam turbines
