This hotel is located in the exciting city of Providence and is attached to the Rhode Island Convention Center, Dunkin Donuts Convention Center, as well as the Providence Place Mall. Guests find themselves in walking distance to everything the city has to offer from historical sights to amazing restaurants. The Omni Providence a beautiful Convention Hotel but our associates are what separate us from the rest of the hotels. Job Description
You will be the 5-star talent who carefully delivers orders to hotel guests to enhance their stay at our hotel. You will be courteous and kind to hotel guests to ensure a memorable experience. You must take detailed food and drink orders, deliver multiple orders as needed, maintain necessary supplies, be an innovative thinker and a self-starter. You must attend to each guest with extreme kindness, care, professionalism, and accuracy according to Omni Hotel's standards. You must be a self-starter and also enjoy working in a team environment. You must be ready to learn and serve - providing an exceptional guest experience is your goal.
***Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.***
Responsibilities
- Complete knowledge of service time, menu and specials
- Prepare, deliver and serve orders using Moments of Service
- Inquire if additional service is needed
- Responsible for each check
- Pick up trays and tables
- Responsible for set-up, delivery and presentation of amenities
- Attend all designated staff meetings and training sessions
- Complete any tasks and side duties assigned by manager
- Responsible for maintenance and cleanliness of room service areas
- Aid guests in locating other areas of the hotel (walk them to the destination if possible)
- Adhere to cash handling standards
Qualifications
- Must have previous food and beverage experience in fine dining or hotel
- Room Service experience is preferred
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- TIPS certifications are preferred
- Must be able to stand for up to 8 hour shift
- Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 50lbs.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, required
