Room-Ready Civil Foreman - Heights Tower Service, Inc.

Overview

As a room-ready civil foreman for our Ohio market, you will lead a small team through the building and maintenance of cell towers, small cells, and other wireless equipment and structures, installing, maintaining, and upgrading Telcom cabinets, Telcom shelters, and performing all room-ready required work. Every day, you will interact with customers and subcontractors, complete necessary paperwork, and communicate with the construction manager about work progress and known issues. You will also review and approve your crew's work, providing training, guidance, and work leadership necessary to maximize safety and productivity, minimize costs, and maintain quality.

What We Need from You

To thrive in this role, you must be able to perform tower construction duties in outdoor environments, in all weather conditions, and you must be able to travel extensively within the market area. Overnight travel with some evening and weekend work should be expected. You must possess basic computer skills and be able to complete/submit paperwork by required deadlines. Experience in the telecommunications industry, coupled with the following skills, is also desired:

• Ability to train a crew on all positions and provide developmental training opportunities for crew members wishing to advance in the company.
• Ability to successfully manage jobs within the required timeframe and approved budget.
• Ability to effectively resolve issues in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to track and report primary and ancillary material use, manage and order inventory, and document maintenance of all equipment.
• Ability to install and test DC and AC power circuits, fiber jumpers, and ethernet cables.
• Ability to label and/or color code equipment, power circuits, and fibers per carrier requirements.
• Ability to do grounding, terminations, fastening, proper bolting and antioxidant use, support of leads, cadwelding as required, etc.
• Willingness to assist on all jobs, including groundwork and all tasks required to build and install a site per customer specs.
• Ability to read and understand drawings, piping diagrams, job specifications, mounting specs, testing procedures, and similar documents.
• Ability to perform general construction of tower sites, including site layouts, clearing, excavation, foundations/slabs, tower assembly, trenching/conduit installation, ice bridge, h-frames, fencing, aggregate roads/compounds, cabinet placement and securing, and other tasks, working with and around heavy equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to drive a truck and trailer and back it up competently.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and respectfully, both verbally and in writing.

The following licenses/certifications are also required and may be completed "in-house:"

• Must possess a valid driver's license (CDL is a plus) and be able to qualify as a company driver.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• First Aid/CPR training/certification.
• Ability to obtain a DOT physical card.
