Role Player - Takes on a variety of roles in various situations that assist soldiers in creating a realistic environment that they would encounter while deployed overseas. Roles may include indigenous country military, police, religious/ political leaders, indigenous personnel, insurgents, media, professionals, etc. Scenarios include real life situations including key-leader engagements, media ambush, combat scenarios, riots, protest, meet and greets, etc. Role players may also be asked to provide instruction on cultural norms, language, and religion of their country of origin. Role players may handle blank or simunition firing weapons. Role players play a vital role in preparing the soldiers for their success overseas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Dress in clothing (casual) appropriate to an assigned role
- Remain in attire and in character for the duration of the training exercises
- Actively improvise to meet demands of Program Manager and Military Liaison
- Remain professional while performing your role
Qualifications
- Native speaker of targeted language
- Working knowledge of English language
- Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Good physical conditioning and stamina required
- Able to remain in a detained position (hands behind back, on knees) for up to 45 minutes
- Able to regularly stand/walk for long periods of time without sitting - Able to withstand hot/cold weather
